This public health consultation report, developed by the Missouri Department of Health in agreement with ATSDR, discusses the risks and impact of a local landfill that emitted gas and offensive odors in the community over a multidecade period. The report is notable because, in several sections, it addresses the chronic stress caused by living near the landfill and the potential health consequences of this stress.
